Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: A Journey through Junior Achievement Day

Our Grand Avenue campus recently buzzed with excitement during Junior Achievement (JA) Day, and what a day it was! From diving into the intricacies of future careers to exploring the world of finance and entrepreneurship, our students were immersed in a whirlwind of engaging activities thanks to the volunteers from Sunwest Bank, Poppy Bank, and Commercial Bank of California (CBC)!

Students eagerly plotted their career paths on an interactive map, discovering everything from the life-saving roles of doctors and firefighters to the creative flair of hair stylists and the innovative minds of engineers and technicians. Their aspirations soared to new heights, with dreams ranging from exploring space as astronauts to unraveling the mysteries of science and beyond.

Dreams of freshly baked pizza floated through the air as students put their financial and entrepreneurial skills to the test. Divided into teams, they whipped up pies while mastering the art of managing finances and catering to customers' needs. With substitute money as their reward, they grasped the importance of productivity and the satisfaction of providing top-notch goods and services.

And let's not forget about the banking bonanza! Amidst discussions on checking accounts, savings accounts, and even the mystique of credit cards, our students soaked up financial wisdom like sponges. With the guidance of our amazing volunteers, they discovered the magic of earning money through wise savings strategies. In just one hour, they transformed from novices to savvy savers, ready to tackle any financial challenge that comes their way.

At Scholarship Prep, we're passionate about equipping our students with the tools they need to thrive in college and beyond. JA Day was more than just an event—it was a stepping stone towards a brighter future for each of our students. We can't wait to see what the future holds as we continue our journey with Junior Achievement of Orange County & Inland Empire.
