Principal - Grand Avenue Campus/TK through 2nd Grades
Mrs. Chantel Van Pool is a seasoned TK-8 educator with twelve years of experience as an interventionist and teacher and, most recently, site administrator. She was born in Orange, CA, and has dedicated her career to serving the Orange County community. Principal Van Pool earned her bachelor's degree in English from UC Irvine and a teaching credential from Concordia University Irvine, followed by a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Cal State Fullerton. Currently, she is completing her administrative credential program.
Mrs. Van Pool has been a part of Scholarship Prep for five years, where she has taught first and second graders, served as a grade-level chair and lead teacher, and recently completed her first year as Assistant Principal at the Grand campus.
As an educator, Mrs. Van Pool’s primary goals are to inspire change in her community through a supportive learning environment, foster strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and ensure that all students receive equal educational opportunities.
Ms. Stone
Principal - 17th Street Campus/3rd through 8th Grades
Please join us in welcoming Ms. Elizabeth Stone, a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience in public independent and school education. Born in Nevada and raised in Northern California, Principal Stone earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and teaching credential from California State University Long Beach, followed by a master's degree in Teacher Leadership from National University and a National Board Certification in Teaching.
Before joining Scholarship Prep, Ms. Stone served as the Middle School Dean at TVT Community Day School in Irvine, CA, where she also taught 5th grade and served as the Lower School Dean. She began her career in education teaching 8th-grade Physical Science.
Ms. Stone is a firm believer that all students are capable of learning and excelling. She works tirelessly to create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable being their authentic selves. Principal Stone also champions community-building with faculty, staff, students, and families.
