Not only are we surviving during virtual learning we are thriving over here in Princeton! We are continuing to write, read, use our math skills, explore social studies and science, and expand our phonics skills each and everyday! Princeton scholars are excited and eager learners whether engaging on assignments and lessons at school or at home! Here at Princeton we are continuing to grow and prepare for 1st grade :)

Social Studies/ Then and Now

This week in social studies Princeton discussed the concept of "Then and Now" As the conclusion for our unit we made homemade butter as people did "long ago" and served it on a piece of bread to taste!
Exploring Apples

This week in honor of the first week of Fall we explored Apples! We learned about the Apple Lifecycle, tasted different varieties of apples and used five sense words to describe and compare them. We also did an apple craft labeling all the parts of an apple and made delicious applesauce as a class. Yum!

PALs

This week we started PALs. This is a peer assisted Learning program. Students take turns being the teacher and pointing to letter sounds learned during the week. This week we focused on reviewing letter sounds a, m, t, and s! 
Getting Started with Math

We spent started jumping into using math manipulative! Snap cubes, teddy bear counters, dice cubes and more! Using manipulitives gives Princeton schools a tangible sorting and counting experience!
