4th graders have started studying Earth’s Features. To help kick off our new unit, they took a virtual field trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Arizona to observe and make inferences about rock layers.

Creating Creatures

This has been an exciting week of science in Wisconsin!

Scholars worked on analyzing genes from “creature” parents and predicted what genes their offspring would have. Scholars have really enjoyed learning about traits and variation!
San Diego Zoo Video Conference

Scholars had an exciting day Thursday! They had the opportunity to video conference with the San Diego Zoo to learn more about their science curriculum and to get useful information about the Endangered Species Act to use in their PBL.

Scholars have enjoyed getting started on their PBL! They began by researching an endangered species to help better understand the Endangered Species Act. They are looking forward to sharing their projects in March!
