Educational Learning Opportunities Program

Scholarship Prep’s Before and After School Program is offered free of charge to students currently enrolled at our schools.

Registration is required and enrollment is dependent upon available space.

Clubs and Teams

Scholarship Prep’s after-school clubs are where Scholars explore their passions and discover new skills! From soccer, eSports, and dance to cheer and drama, there’s a space for every interest. Clubs provide a lively extension of each school day!

Academic Support

Scholars receive free academic support, including homework help and skill-building activities, to strengthen their learning and boost confidence. It’s all about empowering students to succeed, with resources tailored to help them master essential academic skills.

Seasonal Enrichment

The Intercession Program offers seasonal enrichment during select days over summer, fall, and winter breaks. With fun activities and exciting field trips, Scholars stay engaged and explore new interests—making breaks a time for both learning and unforgettable experiences!

After-School Program Hours

The program will follow the regular school year calendar during the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Fridays: 12:15 pm to 6:00 pm

Register for the After-School Program

Families may register for the after school program by filling out the after school program enrollment form available in the front office.

Pick-Up Locations and Requirements

General Requirements:
Parents and guardians must have their I.D. with them every day for pick-up. Please note that only listed emergency contacts will otherwise be allowed to pick up your student.

Grades TK-3rd - Grand Avenue Campus:
When you arrive, please park and walk up the stairs to the second floor. To release your child, you will need to call the YMCA number, (714) 860-2162.

Grades 4-8th - 17th Street Campus:
When you arrive, please park and walk to the front of the gate. To release your child, call the YMCA number (714) 450-5531.

Intercession Dates

Intercession is an opportunity for Scholarship Prep students to engage in enriching educational activities while making unforgettable memories over during our academic year breaks.

Registration details will be provided by our ELO Manager and the YMCA as these dates get closer.

Intercession will take place between 8am - 5pm on the following dates:

  • Fall Intercession: October 7th and October 11th
  • Winter Intercession: November 25th-27th
  • Spring Intercession: April 7th-11th
  • Summer Intercession: June 2nd-27th

After School Adventures

Scholarship Prep Secures $2.85M CCSPP Grant to Expand Student and Family Support Services

With this funding, Scholarship Prep will continue to enhance our community school model, focusing on daily social-emotional learning, trauma-informed education, as well as family and stakeholder engagement.
