Scholarship Prep Provides Free Haircuts to Students

Posted by Arthur Congo on November 30, 2021 in General News

Scholarship Prep partnered with Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa to provide free haircuts to our students. Scholarship Prep students were treated to lunch and styling sessions from aspiring cosmetologists and barbers.

We are committed to providing wrap-around services to our students, especially those experiencing homelessness or the foster care system. This event, designed for these vulnerable students, is another example of how we operationalize our mission to Create Community Change.

Chief Community Officer Kristen Crowe shares, “We are excited to continue providing services to our students that stretch beyond the typical school day. We know that access to grooming services can be difficult for our families. The happiness on our students’ faces after receiving their haircuts was priceless. We were thrilled to also be able to provide haircuts to students’ parents and guardians who were in attendance. A huge thank you to Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa for partnering with us in this event.”
