At Scholarship Prep Orange County, the success of our students is a testament to our unique approach and dedicated staff. This summer, we proudly celebrate two exceptional promoting 8th graders, Abigail and Maria, for their acceptance into the prestigious TVT Community Day School in Irvine, California.

A Supportive Community

“Our approach here at Scholarship Prep is super unique,” says Principal Elizabeth Stone. “You'll see our teachers greeting students at the door with a fist bump, a high five, a hug, or maybe even a little dance.”

Abigail, one of our promoting 8th graders, shares her experience: “I started here about two years ago, and from the moment I walked in, they were so welcoming and always smiling. I felt really safe.”

Mara Lopez, an 8th-grade parent, echoes this sentiment: “The manner in which they treat the kids, the staff outside greet them when they come and go each day. It’s something you don’t see from other schools.”

Academic Excellence and Beyond

Scholarship Prep’s commitment to academic rigor and holistic development sets our students on the path to success. “I try to make sure that when students come in first thing in August to have high expectations, that academic rigor that Scholarship Prep provides for everybody,” explains Stephanie Garcia, an 8th-grade teacher.

Jose Garcia, a parent, notes the positive impact on his child, “This school has helped her get more involved in music and mathematics.”

Leadership and Extracurricular Involvement

Beyond academics, Abigail and Maria have grown as leaders and active participants in various school activities. Maria shares, “I'm also in ASB, so I have to make morning announcements and talk on stage at pep rallies. It helps with public speaking a lot.”

The school offers students the opportunity to balance academics with community involvement. There are also many opportunities for electives in arts and athletics. Maria appreciates this aspect: “Art helps me express myself and relieve stress, too.”

Preparing for a Bright Future

Preparing students for high school is a key focus at Scholarship Prep. Efforts begin in seventh grade, with students exploring their goals and aspirations for high school. This process helps them identify what they are looking for in their future educational experiences.

The support from staff has been instrumental in this journey. “They were there for me whenever I needed help with applications, and if I had any nerves they would always come and talk to me and tell me it's going to be all right, you're going to do great,” recalls Abigail.

A Bright Future Ahead

As Abigail and Maria prepare to embark on their new journey at TVT Community Day School, we at Scholarship Prep Orange County are confident that they will continue to thrive and make us proud. Their story is a shining example of what can be achieved when dedicated students are nurtured in a supportive educational environment with wonderful family partnerships.

Congratulations, Abigail and Maria! We can't wait to see all the incredible things you will accomplish at TVT and beyond.
